Leading & creating emotional intelligent leaders since 2008
The Jennings Leadership Foundation, headquartered in the Hampton Roads, Virginia Metro Area, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit operating foundation with a mission to strengthen the leadership capacity of non-profit leaders. Through immersive programs and a focus on emotional intelligence, we equip leaders with the tools to manage with compassion, resilience, and effectiveness. Our work, sustained by a growing endowment and tuition-based programs, extends across both coasts, shaping leaders who create lasting change in the communities they serve.

Areas of Leadership
Understanding yourself
All leadership begins and starts with understanding the psychological make up and hardwired DNA of understanding yourself. Self awareness is core and key to understanding your leadership motivation.
Know Yourself. Grow Yourself. Lead Others
leading change
Kodak, Blockbuster and the church of Ephesus all faded away. Why? They didn’t lead change well. Leading change never easy. But it’s always necessary.
And we can show you how to do it.
Don’t just survive change—lead it.
Understanding others
Not everyone is the same.
Every person is driven by unique, hardwired motivations. Recognizing these differences is essential to leading individuals—and shaping an organizational culture that thrives.
marriage & family
The most fundamental institution you will ever lead is your marriage and your family. The same EQ skills that you employ in work will transform your personal relationships as well.
When you learn to love well, you will lead well—and ultimately, you will live well.
communicating to motivate
Words, inflection, body language, and tone have the power to either inspire—or discourage. Every person is motivated differently, which means effective leaders must learn to adapt their communication to meet those differences.
When you understand how to connect through communication, you unlock the ability to truly motivate others. That skill is leadership equity—and it transforms both people and organizations.
conflict MANAGEMENT
You can’t have movement without conflict. Though conflict reimagined is not a fight it’s a conversation. Understanding what people do and how to talk to them in conflict creates a multi-dimensional leader.
When leaders understand how people respond in conflict—and learn how to anticipate and communicate effectively in those moments—they grow into multi-dimensional leaders who can turn tension into progress.
“Leaders do four things: understand themselves, understand others, communicate to motivate and lead change.”
